Scheme of free seed and fertilizer supply to 6000 small and marginal farmers has been taken up to increase cultivation and production of Ufshi Aush crops during Kharip-1/2024-25 season in FY 2023-24.

Recent Activities

1. Plans to encourage farmers to produce group-based oil crops and other rabi crops on fallow lands.
2. Adoption of crop zoning plan for mustard cultivation in areas suitable for mustard cultivation and establishment of honey box and honey production plan.
3. Ensuring the availability of high yielding varieties and planning the use of various high yielding varieties for cluster cultivation of Aush, Maize, Sesame, Mugdal crops in fallow land during Kharip-1 season.
4. Planning to set up commercial orchards on fallow land.
5. Incentivize the farmers for rice cultivation and take planning.
6. Adopt quality and exportable fruit, vegetable cultivation expansion plan.
7. Use of uncultivated land and plan to establish family nutrition garden in the courtyard of homestead.
8. Planning to increase crop diversification and intensification by including pulses, oilseeds, spices and vegetables in crop rotation.
8. Planning for safe fruit and vegetable production through eco-friendly techniques.
9. Planning to increase crop production through farm mechanization.
10. In grasslands and saline areas, plan to plant with drought and salinity tolerant crops.
